Doctor Strange starts off with a sinister looking group of wizards breaking into a library and stealing pages from a book before being chased off by a bald woman who uses magic to try and stop them. The movie then changes to a hospital and a DR is performing surgery on someone. The Dr is revealed to be DR Steven Strange a brilliant but arrogant surgeon who has a 100% success record on surgeries. DR Strange then leaves his home in his Lamborghini to go to a fundraiser whilst driving there he picks up his phone and ends up crashing his car. He then wakes up in the hospital with his hands absolutely ripped apart which means he can no longer be a surgeon. Over the next few scenes of the movie we see DR Strange try many experimental surgery’s but none of them work. Strange then finds a man that healed his paralysis and is told to go to the city of Kathmandu in Nepal where he is introduced to a man named Mordo and the Ancient One who is the bald woman from the start of the movie.
Now in the movie Strange is being taught the mystic art’s in Kathmandu His teacher is Mordo but he decides that he would be better off teaching himself spending week’s going over spells in the ancient books in the library. Strange isn’t great at first but the Ancient One takes him to the top of Everest and leaves him there forcing him to open up a portal himself before he dies he manages it and then starts properly training with Mordo in fighting whilst using magic. Soon the new York sanctum is attacked by the group from the start of the movie Mordo and Strange manage to fight them off for a while before Strange is stabbed with a fork of dark magic so he rushes to the hospital and ends up having to fight the villain in his cosmic form out of his body. Strange then finds out about the main plan and ends up confronting the main villain Dormamu. DR Strange is killed by Dormamu but he uses the time stone to rewind and does this so many times until Dormamu gets frustrated and leaves.
Overall I would give this movie an 8/10
